What is an immersive experience?
An immersive experience is a situation where a person is totally immersed in an environment, a story or an activity, to the point of forgetting themselves or feeling “inside” what they are experiencing. It is a fictitious or real experience, which creates a feeling of total involvement.
It can be done in movement or in a static way. It can be fun, as with Virtual Room (VR Escape Game), or on the move (like the immersive experiences at Eclipso). At the Bassins des Lumières, we are invited to look, admire, discover and hear. Sitting or strolling, with others or individually, everyone will live and perceive this experience in a unique way.
At Eclipso, we are immersed in another world or another era. Their immersive experiences are cultural, pedagogical and aesthetic.
These experiences stimulate the different senses such as hearing and sight (as during the immersive exhibitions of the Bassins des Lumières) and sometimes touch.
At Science Expériences, the immersive experience approaches science in a fun and educational way and is aimed especially at young audiences.
