The various collections and exhibitions bring together history, art and science, emphasizing the links between<strong>man and the maritime world: between fear and fascination. <\/strong>  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Children will be attracted &#8211; among other things &#8211; by the <strong>large number of old models of suspended ships<\/strong> and deck objects made by sailors during their long crossings. There are scientific objects, paintings, sculptures and works of art, but also <strong>nautical charts and atlases <\/strong>characterizing the universal history of navigation, travel and discovery. Gathered in the permanent exhibition space, and beyond the horizons, an impressive variety of newer boats are gathered and tell us the modern epic: <strong>submarines, steamboats&#8230;<\/strong>  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\"><strong>The Mer Marine Museum is not ONLY about history!<\/strong>  The second floor also aims to raise awareness of the importance of protecting our oceans and waterways, as well as the species that inhabit the marine world, and reminds us of their essential beauty and fragility. From the creation of the oceans to the observation of the world as it is today, the <strong>Mus\u00e9e Mer Marine gives pride of place to education in favour of environmental protection<\/strong> while integrating into its journey (produced with National Geographic) interventions by contemporary artists committed to this cause. The<strong>public and teenagers find alternative reading codes that they know well and that happily complement oceanographic approaches<\/strong>.  <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Our opinion on the Mer Marine Museum<\/h2>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A modern and pleasant space in the <strong>Bacalan<\/strong> district, <strong>an old district rehabilitated <\/strong> <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>A museum that is definitely worth a visit<\/strong> for ocean lovers and history buffs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>A varied pedagogy that will captivate the youngest<\/strong> and &#8230; those who accompany them!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<section class=\"wp-block-uagb-section uagb-section__wrap uagb-section__background-none uagb-block-d3149e3e\"><div class=\"uagb-section__overlay\"><\/div><div class=\"uagb-section__inner-wrap\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center red-logo\">-EXHIBITION-<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Planet or Plastic? The exhibition event (from June 8, 2023) <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>This exhibition, set up in partnership with <strong>National Geographic<\/strong> , traces the history of plastic since its creation in the 19th century.
